Oromos – A Time for Thought
Dr. Muhammad Shamsaddin Megalommatis
August 02, 2008
There are some basic truths in politics; it is always possible
for anyone intending to do the best to finally and unwillingly
contribute to a nightmarish disaster that all would have certainly
done their best to avoid. That's why a time for reflection is
at times far better a solution than a time of unsubstantiated
action. Read |

A Strong Instrument for Consensus Building
Oromo politico-social system, Gadaa is one of the inventions Oromo
are proud of. It was a system that upheld liberty equality and
human dignity. One of the means for realization of these was a
democratic process of interpersonal communications or dialogue.

Missouri
professor writes to U.S. officials about Ethiopia
Dec 02, 2007
From: Donald L Fischer,
PhD
Psychologist and Professor, Missouri State University
To: Senators Biden
and Lugar, Secretary Rice, and others
I am writing to
express my concern about the widespread violations of human
rights which the Meles-led Ethiopian government is committing
against its citizens, particularly those in the Oromia, Gambela,
Ogaden and other regions. I graduated from high school in Addis
Ababa and lived in Ethiopia for several years prior to that
during the 1960s while my parents were there working. I know
the Ethiopian people to be wonderful human beings and my heart
goes out to them in their efforts to bring democracy and the
rule of law to their beautiful country. Read |

FIO Pledge for Free Oromia heralds the End of the ‘Ethiopian’
Tyranny
Dr. Muhammad Shamsaddin
Megalommatis
October 31, 2007
The Front for Independence
of Oromia (FIO) is the youngest among the political groups formed
by Oromo politicians and Human Rights activists who are engaged
in the Great Struggle for the Independence of Oromia. There
is no doubt that the dynamism and the commitment of the FIO
leadership to the creation of a free and independent country
for the Kushitic Ethiopian Nation of the Oromos contributes
tremendously to the awakening of the oppressed and tyrannized

People of Northern Kenya - Marsabit, Isiolo
Abdulkadir Gumi
September 11, 2007
Marsabit lies at
the heart of the ancestral lands of the Boorana people. it is
the last bit of civilization in the vast desert of northern
Kenya. The people of Marsabit are a colorful ethnic mix of Rendille,
Boorana and Gabra. The road between Marsabit and Isiolo is rough
(you will need a 4x4) and has been plagued by bandits in the
past. You will probably need to be a party of at least two vehicles
and be totally self-sufficient with water, food and petrol.

Ethiopian Tyranny collapses: Oromo fronts unified
Dr.
Muhammad Shamsaddin Megalommatis
May 3, 2007
As Meles Zenawi's
tribal and useless army faces severe defeats day by day in Somalia,
as Ogaden prepares to secede, and as all the oppressed and tyrannized
peoples of Abyssinia intensify their struggle for independence,
Oromo organizations and polotical parties, fronts and liberation
movements merge in a hope-bringing effort to better fight for
the liberation of the long tyrannized nation of the Oromos;
the forthcoming collapse of the Amhara and Tigray murderous
gangsters, who comically portray themselves as 'elected' class
of politicians, seems imminent. Read |

Marvelous Fountain of Living Water and Everlasting Life!
Still remember that strange,
mid-September evening last year, when I was left alone with
my thoughts on the Mediterranean shore not far from the Nile’s
western estuary. There was a cosmic calmness around me, while
I was admiring the water volumes entering the Mediterranean
embrace. Hours and stars were interwoven in that loneliness
that could either lift me high or deepen my vision Read.
